Apple Cinnamon French Toast

I loved this recipe! It was so easy to make. I got this recipe from my friend Susan and she got it from Pampered Chef.

I am going to submit this recipe to Recipe-Remix. http://recipe-remix.blogspot.com/

Ingredients:
1 loaf Italian or French Bread (cut 1 1/2 thick slices)
1 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 tblsp corn syrup
2-3 tart apples peeled, thinly sliced (I used Granny smith)
raisins or pecans I didn't use
6 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1tsp vanilla
dash nutmeg
cinnamon

I made two pans of this recipe. I bought a huge loaf of bread.

Directions: Cook brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup in a pan stirring constantly. Pour into 9x13pan. Arrange apples (and raisins) over syrup in a single layer.

Lay bread over this in a single layer (I put a few extra pieces overlapping). Mix eggs, milk, vanilla, and nutmeg. Pour over bread soaking each slice completely. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover with foil. Refrigerate over night.

Preheat oven to 350. Baked covered for 45 min. Uncover and bake for 5 more min. Enjoy!

Mr. Watermelon rating: A, he loved this! He loves apples and cinnamon.

Mrs. Watermelon rating: A, I loved this. It was so easy!
